History

The Accidentals, Trinity College's only all-male a cappella group, believe there are few things in life more enjoyable than making music you genuinely love with people you genuinely care about. Their sound is a mix of old and new; the tight balance and blend of the barbershop tradition infuses their thoroughly modern musicianship with a warmth one rarely encounters in men's collegiate a cappella ensembles.

They pride themselves on original, innovative arrangements - settings which breathe new life into a deep, diverse library of music. The Accidentals sing the music they'd love to hear as audience members. From The Beatles to the Barenaked Ladies, Billy Joel to Blues Traveler, Jack Johnson to Johnny Cash, the Accidentals entertain their audiences largely by entertaining themselves!

Since their inception in 1993, the Accidentals have enjoyed an illustrious performance record. In addition to frequent on-campus gigs, they've performed at the 1996 Presidential Debates, the inauguration of the Connecticut Children's Hospital, the ATP World Doubles Championship, The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC, Hartford's own Wadsworth Atheneum, and numerous colleges and institutions throughout the United States. In 2005, the Accidentals came in first place at the Nutmeg A Cappella Slam, held in Rockville, CT.

Whether singing in a sold-out concert hall or in your living room, the Accidentals bring their "good old harmony" to smiling faces around the country. Hire the Accidentals as entertainment for your corporate function, birthday party, school dance, dinner party, wedding, Bar/Bat Mitzvah, sporting event, choir seminar... virtually anything you can think of!
